Cyprus
has signed a number of double taxation Treaties with several countries for the
avoidance of double taxation of income earned in any of the two contracting
states.
Thirty countries have entered into such agreements with Cyprus.
For the time being the
relevant countries are:
Austria,
Bulgaria,
Belarus, Belgium,
Canada,
Czech Republic,
China,
Denmark,
Egypt,
France,
Germany,
Greece,
Hungary,
Ireland,
India,
Italy,
Kuwait, Malta,
Norway,
Poland,
Romania,
Russia,
Slovakia,
South Africa,
Sweden,
Syria,
United Kingdom, USA,
USSR and
Yugoslavia.
Negotiations
are carried out with Finland, Singapore, Thailand, Armenia and Mauritius
to enter into such Double Taxation Treaties.
